The company plans to use new funding to advance its offering with artificial intelligence to speed discovery, management and deployment of content while providing insights to marketers. Leadership is led by CEO & Co-Founder Alex Vaidya and newly hired CSO Dr. Janet Bastiman, who holds a Ph.D. in computational neuroscience and has ten years’ experience leading technical departments and shaping technical strategy. StoryStream works with brands such as Porsche, Volvo, STA Travel and Co-Operative. StoryStream offers a smart content platform that provides real-time search, curation and content-publishing technology. It targets the content marketing industry and aims to help marketers combine user-generated content with branded content without harming the brand. The platform's USPs include the ability to search for and curate any form of content, personalization, and the ability to deliver content in-store on retail signage. StoryStream already works with customers including Porsche, Thomas Cook and Volvo. The company has raised $2.6M (£1.8M) in a Series A led by MMC Ventures, which is its first external funding. The raise is intended to help the company address the content marketing industry.
