Strata Identity builds an identity orchestration platform (its flagship product Maverics) that lets customers run logins for legacy applications alongside modern tools without rewriting code. The platform provides connectors to enable interoperability across multiple identity systems and covers access control, authentication and auditing. CEO and co-founder Eric Olden, a veteran of the security industry, positioned the product to solve gaps left by traditional identity management vendors. Strata says its connectors can save customers substantial migration or redevelopment costs by avoiding application rewrites. The company declined to disclose revenue but reported growth of more than 350% in the last year. Strata is currently focused on North America and plans to scale into the Asia Pacific region, likely in 2024. The company’s founders co-authored the SAML standard used for cross-cloud identity and SSO. The product targets the $12B identity and access management (IAM) market and the broader $142B cloud adoption and migration market. Strata plans to use new funding to scale research & development, go-to-market, sales, marketing, and customer success. The company was named a Gartner Cool Vendor in Identity Access Management and Fraud Detection and was nominated for membership in the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association to integrate Maverics with Azure AD.
