Overview
ZIRX operates an on-demand mobile app that lets customers request valets to pick up and drop off their cars, with payment available via a daily fare or a monthly subscription. The company has expanded beyond its San Francisco launch to serve Seattle, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C., and the app is available on iOS and Android. ZIRX has been adding value‑added services — gas fills, car washes, and a tested maintenance offering called ZIRX Care that uses partner repair shops or dealership dropoffs. Management reports these ancillary services improve retention because customers who use them are likelier to continue using the platform. The company plans to use new funding to expand into additional cities and roll ZIRX Care out to all its markets. The business model captures a small fee on each additional service booked, which management views as both a margin and retention play. Zirx operates an on-demand valet parking service accessed via a mobile app. Customers select a pickup location on a map and are sent the name and photo of a vetted, trained agent who meets them within 5–7 minutes. The agent provides a security code, parks the vehicle in a secure storage facility, and can return the car to any desired location on request. The service is insured for up to $2M and is priced at $15 per use or $275 for a monthly subscription. Led by Sean Behr, the company intends to use the financing to expand services beyond San Francisco to additional U.S. cities. Zirx closed a $6.4M Series A to support that expansion.
