StreamNative is a cloud-hosted messaging and event-streaming platform driven by Apache Pulsar, founded in 2019 by Pulsar's original developers. The company provides functionality, tooling, and SDKs to help teams design, manage, and maintain data-driven applications and to expose company data as real-time streams. StreamNative claims more than 40 customers across marketing, IoT, payments, and banking, including Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies. It has secured $30 million in funding to date and employs over 50 people. The company plans to triple its workforce in the next 12 months, integrate data lakehouse technologies (Databricks’ Delta Lake and Apache Hudi), build Apache Flink and Apache Spark connectors, and launch StreamNative Cloud on the AWS Marketplace. StreamNative intends to use new funds to expand personnel, accelerate R&D, broaden Pulsar's ability to solve new use cases, develop additional integrations, and form strategic alliances.
