Simplicissimus Book Farm, founded in June 2006 and based in Milan and near Ancona, provides digital solutions for publishers, including its ebook distribution platform (STEALTH), a self-publishing platform (Narcissus), and mobile solutions. STEALTH has been used by over 400 ebook publishers and 100 magazines to date, and Narcissus, launched in 2012, is used by over 1,000 authors. The company raised €2.5m in funding in a round led by Principia II, with the co-founders contributing an additional €500k. Management intends to use the capital to expand software development and to open an R&D facility in Catania. The company also plans geographic expansion into Turkey, Poland, Mexico and other Latin American countries.
