Strider is building a collaborative storytelling platform that lets creative communities co-create, invest in and develop story-driven worlds and entertainment products. The product includes social features and a fast, accessible toolset for creating a “storyworld,” enabling collaboration on characters, settings, history and lore. Strider aims to give contributors opportunities to retain ownership of their creations, leveraging blockchain technology to allow for deeper ownership as communities build together. The company plans to use the seed financing to expand the team and bring content creators onto the platform with tools for production and distribution. Strider was founded by game industry veterans Andrew N. Green, Michael Brozman, Michael Cala and Nick Braccia, with experience across EA, Rockstar, Jam City, TinyCo and Square Enix. The company has raised $5.5M in the reported seed round, bringing total funding to date to $8.5M.
