Striiv develops a portable fitness device that motivates activity throughout the day via games, personal goals, and donation opportunities. The company was founded in 2010 by CEO David Wang and VP Engineering Mark Ross and is based in Redwood City, CA. Its flagship product, also called Striiv, is a portable device aimed at increasing daily activity through gamification. Striiv plans to launch a new device priced at $99 in October and intends to use recently raised funds to support that release. The company completed a $6m Series A round, reflecting early-stage financing to advance its product roadmap. In conjunction with the financing, both Dr. Ronald Chwang and Colin Angle have joined the company’s Board of Directors.
