Overview

StrikeAd is a global mobile Demand Side Platform (DSP) that enables advertisers, brands and agencies to plan, optimize and deliver mobile advertising campaigns at scale. Its proprietary platform integrates algorithmic Real-Time Optimization, tracking behavior beyond the click (brand engagement or direct-response). The platform also offers Geo-Targeting capabilities to engage consumers in optimal locations to maximize campaign response. Founded in 2010 by Alex Rahaman (CEO) and based in New York City, the company maintains additional offices in the United States, Europe and Asia. StrikeAd recently closed a $7M funding round led by Karlin Ventures, with a growth debt facility provided by Kreos Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Tianxiang Zhuo of Karlin Ventures joined StrikeAd’s Board of Directors. StrikeAd operates a dedicated mobile DSP that provides a single point-of-access to vast mobile web and in-app inventory, letting media buyers create dynamic campaigns across multiple Supply Side Platforms. Its StrikeAd Fusion offering includes automated optimization, tracking and analytics to give clients real-time control and campaign insight. The platform is positioned to reduce time, cost and complexity while improving targeting, transparency and ROI for advertisers and agencies. Founded in 2010 by Alex Rahaman, the company has about 45 staff across New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, London, Hamburg, Singapore and Kiev. StrikeAd recently moved its world headquarters to Fifth Avenue in New York’s Flatiron District as part of a U.S. expansion and CEO Alex Rahaman relocated from London to lead U.S. operations. Financially, the company closed a $3.5M Series A to fund its U.S. expansion and continued enhancement of its proprietary technology. StrikeAd operates a mobile-specific advertising Demand Side Platform that lets media agencies manage global mobile ad campaigns from multiple advertisers from a single platform. The real-time platform integrates with major mobile media exchanges and manages over 30 billion page impressions per month. The company says this scale enables simpler purchase and optimization of mobile ad inventory. StrikeAd is based in London and New York and has begun international expansion, including a move into the Japanese market in conjunction with Tokyo-based mediba Inc. The business plans to use new funding to develop additional technology areas such as cross-device targeting. Financially, it has just secured a second round investment to support that expansion and product development. StrikeAd's flagship product is a mobile advertising Demand Side Platform that lets media buyers create dynamic campaigns across multiple supply-side platforms, ad networks, operators and territories via a single console. The platform is designed to reduce time, cost and complexity while offering greater control, better data, and improved ROI for advertisers, agencies and brands. The company said its recently raised Series A from German VC eValue will accelerate development and deployment of its technology platform and support its international expansion strategy. The amount of the Series A was undisclosed. StrikeAd also announced a new advisory board including Stephen Taylor (ex-CEO of Qype, formerly of Overture and Yahoo Europe) and Reza Behnam (former partner at IDG Ventures and founder of ADZ). Founded in July 2010 by Alex Rahaman and Simon Wajcenberg, the company has offices in London and New York.
