Style For Hire operates an online-enabled marketplace that lets users find vetted personal stylists in their city for closet audits, personal shopping, and event or lifestyle styling. Services cover a wide range of needs—bridal, prom, vacation, seasonal dressing, plus-size and petite styling, eco-styling, and re-entering-the-workforce styling. Hourly rates range from $65 to $300, with an average appointment length of 2.6 hours. Since a soft launch a year ago, the company reports strong repeat usage: 46% of early clients rebooked two or more times and 22% rebooked three or more times within the year. The founders say the business is an offline service enabled by an online platform and that they plan to add more tools to give users greater online access to stylists.
