SUBLIME Energy, founded in 2019 in France, develops a proprietary biogas liquefaction and purification technology created at the CES of Mines Paris‑PSL. The technology enables local collection of biogas from small or remote farms by sharing purification costs, opening an estimated ~26 TWh market of biomethane in France and enabling capture of millions of tonnes of CO2 per year. A demonstrator to be deployed at Gazéa by 2025 will produce 180 tonnes of low‑carbon fuel and 300 tonnes of biogenic CO2 per year. By 2026 the company expects its first commercial project to integrate around a dozen methanisers. The biomethane and BioLNG produced can be used directly on farms (including BioLNG‑powered tractors) and in heavy transport logistics to reduce carbon emissions. The company secured financing to support development, production and deployment of the demonstration plant.
