SubQuery builds a decentralized data aggregation and indexing layer that provides Polkadot and Kusama developers tools to explore, transform, and analyze on-chain data. Its marketplace for data indexing and provisioning lets blockchain developers focus on product development and user experience rather than building querying systems. SubQuery already serves millions of data queries each day to over 60 projects and is integrated with applications such as Subscan and parachains including Acala’s Karura, Phala’s Khala, and Bifrost. The team plans to decentralize the protocol by onboarding strategic external data service providers. It also intends to expand integrations to other Layer 1 blockchains, including Solana and Terra. The company says the funding will accelerate its technical and community roadmap in 2021 and beyond; the announcement was made from Singapore.
