Subtree is a cloud-native data management startup that has launched two initial products, dotmesh and dothub. Founded in 2017 by container storage veteran Luke Marsden (CEO), the company is based in London, UK. Dotmesh is an open-source utility that captures, manages and shares entire application state in units called datadots. A single datadot versions the state of all databases, files and other data in a containerized application and can be committed, branched, pushed and pulled like source-controlled code. Dothub is an online centralized repository where users can push and pull datadots for safekeeping and collaboration. The company raised $10M in seed funding, per the report.
