The chain focuses on value retail and affordability and has set a goal of operating 500 stores by 2030. The company plans to use its latest capital to expand its store footprint and to strengthen its supply chain. Sumosave previously raised $3.3 million from Lightspeed and angel investors. To finance expansion, the business is combining equity and venture debt, exemplified by the pre-series B equity raise led by 12 Flags and venture debt provided by Stride Ventures.
