The company emerged from stealth late last year and was founded by Tony Zhao and Cheng Chi. Sunday has reported a roughly 1,000-person waitlist for Memo. It recently raised $165 million in a Series B at a $1.15 billion valuation. The round was led by Coatue Management with participation from Tiger Global, Benchmark, and Bain Capital Ventures. Sunday is positioned as a new unicorn pursuing the long-standing goal of a general-purpose household humanoid assistant.
