SunDensity develops Photonic Smart Coating (PSC™) technology that increases solar power output and is designed to work with any solar module while complementing existing anti-reflective coatings. The PSC™ also has applications in consumer electronics displays and architectural glass and can reduce energy consumption in those uses. The company is based in Rochester, N.Y. and is led by founder and PSC™ inventor Nish Sonwalkar (Sc.D., MIT). SunDensity closed $2.5M in initial seed financing to advance its technology. The funding will support team expansion, jumpstart production and accelerate partnerships with key industry players.
