SunLib

87 B Rue de Ruelisheim, Illzach, Grand Est, 68110, France

Overview

Founded 18 months ago in Aix-en-Provence, SunLib installs rooftop solar panels for homeowners without requiring any upfront payment; customers instead pay a monthly subscription of roughly €50 over 10-25 years. The company operates a third-party investment model, owning and financing the equipment while leveraging a vetted network of 300 independent installers. It has already converted about 500 residential and a few public-sector clients and plans to add 4,000–6,000 more this year using newly raised capital. SunLib targets 100,000 subscribers, representing 1.5 GWp of capacity, by 2030—roughly equivalent to a small nuclear reactor. The addressable French self-consumption market is expanding rapidly, with installations up 54 % year-over-year, providing tailwinds for SunLib’s growth. Financially, the company has secured €3.2 million from business angels earlier in 2024 and now adds a €25 million institutional round, while it is also negotiating additional equity and bank debt with Bpifrance, Cepac and Société Générale. Founder and president Arnaud Langlois retains majority ownership following the latest raise.
