Superfy is a chat-based social networking app branded with the tagline “Ask Anything!” that enables users to post questions or topics and converse one-on-one or in groups. The platform was founded by Michal Tamir and Gil Schoenberg and is London-based. It has more than 500k registered users who spend about 40 minutes per day on the app on average. Monthly message volume has reached 20 million, and the core user base is largely 18–21-year-olds across the US, UK and Canada. The recent launch of a Groups function materially improved engagement—average daily time per user rose by a third to 40 minutes and monthly messages doubled to 20 million. Financially, Superfy has raised a total of $6.7M to date following its latest round. Superfy is a Tel Aviv-based mobile app that uses a proprietary Matchpoint AI (built on open-source LLMs) to match users in real time with relevant people for live chats and answers. Its algorithms consider who’s online, typical usage times, answering history, topical expertise and “personal chemistry” to surface human responses rather than AI-only replies. The app claims 550,000 registered users and 85,000 monthly active users, primarily Gen Z in the U.S., Canada and the U.K., with a median first-response time of ~20 seconds. Engagement metrics include an average session length of ~160 seconds, 31 minutes spent per user per day, about 16 chats per day per user and over 10.5 million messages per month; roughly 85% of users actively ask or answer questions. Superfy is iOS-only, free to download and currently has no in-app purchases. The founders say they plan to expand beyond a Gen Z audience over time and are continuing product work while raising a post-seed round.
