Overview

Superpeer provides a platform for experts to promote, schedule and charge for one-on-one video calls with people seeking advice. The company is expanding its product beyond one-on-one sessions by launching paid channels, where experts can charge a subscription fee for larger group sessions with video and chat. Superpeer emphasizes lightweight, in-browser video technology and is positioning itself as a brand-friendly venue for public intellectuals and thought leaders. The startup said channels let experts reach larger audiences by offering lower-cost group sessions while retaining higher-priced private meetings for deeper follow-ups. Superpeer plans to expand its growth, partnership and revenue teams and will offer financial support for experts through a brand ambassador program (details are still being worked out). The company has raised additional capital to support these efforts and product expansion. Superpeer enables experts, creators and influencers to monetize one-on-one remote video calls by letting them upload an intro video, set availability and pricing while Superpeer handles scheduling, calls and payments. The platform takes a 15% fee on transactions. Calls are recorded and stored for 48 hours to support refund requests and enforce the terms of service, and the product includes a user rating system to help screen interactions. Superpeer launched in private beta two weeks before the announcement and reported more than 100 Superpeers signed up. The company also launched on ProductHunt alongside the funding news. Co-founder and CEO Devrim Yasar, who previously founded Koding, leads the startup.
