Suprema, based in Rome, produces HTS superconducting tapes for multiple applications, beginning with the energy sector. Its tapes enable the creation of magnetic fields needed to confine and stabilize plasma at very high temperatures for Magnetic Fusion. The company positions its technology as a solution for the future of Magnetic Fusion to produce clean, safe and sustainable electric energy. HTS tapes also have applications in electrical distribution and transmission, notably within data centers where energy efficiency reduces consumption and improves digital infrastructure sustainability. Suprema is an ENEA spin-off founded by Andrea Augieri, Fabio Fabbri, Francesco Rizzo and Giuseppe Celentano.
