Surefire Cyber is an incident response company that emerged from stealth to offer an end-to-end incident response platform. Based in San Mateo, California and led by CEO and founder Billy Gouveia, the company targets cyber insurers, brokers, law firms and the organizations they support. Its platform delivers response to ransomware, email compromise, malware, data theft and other cyber threats. Surefire provides both platform capabilities and hands-on response services to manage cyber events. The company raised $10 million in a Series A led by Forgepoint Capital. Forgepoint's involvement included recruiting, platform development, introductions to early customers, marketing and governance support.
