The company is advancing multiple preclinical programs aimed at improving antigen presentation, blocking suppressor cells in the tumor microenvironment, and countering inhibitory cytokines and metabolites. Preclinical findings suggest these approaches could be effective as monotherapies and in combination with existing immunotherapies. Surface anticipates identifying lead candidates for clinical development in 2015. The company announced a $35 million Series A financing to support its programs.
