Surfside is a New York-based provider of a cannabis data activation and marketing platform led by Michael Blanche. The platform aggregates first-party data across customer touchpoints to help cannabis brands and dispensaries understand, target, and measure customers based on purchase behavior and lifestyle. It supports the majority of point-of-sale, CRM, e-commerce, delivery and other customer integrations for data onboarding and sales attribution, and recently released a Clean Room data source that uses client-side encryption to onboard data without sharing raw attributes. Over the past 12 months the company grew to nearly 1,000 dispensaries and over 100 brands using its technology. Surfside raised $4M in funding in a round led by Casa Verde, whose managing partner Karan Wadhera will join Surfside's board. The company intends to use the funds to double its workforce, launch new services, and bolster self-service capabilities for dispensary owners, brands and ancillary businesses.
