Beijing-based Surgerii Robotics designs, manufactures, and markets laparoscopic surgical robotic systems and accessories, spearheaded by its flagship Shurui single-port endoscopic surgical robot (SR-ENS-600). The system employs snake-like, tele-operated instruments based on a Dual Continuum Mechanism developed at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, allowing complex procedures through one small incision. Shurui secured China NMPA clearance in June 2023 and CE marking in August 2025, becoming the first single-port robot approved for pediatric use and the second ever CE-certified platform after Intuitive’s da Vinci SP. Clinically, the company has partnered with more than 70 Grade A tertiary hospitals in China, supported over 3,000 surgeries, and enabled nearly 50 distinct procedures worldwide, developing 80+ new surgical techniques. Surgerii has also launched a European Clinical Excellence Center with IRCAD to drive adoption in high-end European markets. Future plans include accelerating international commercialization, expanding clinical applications, and developing next-generation energy instruments and other products. The recent $100 million financing fortifies its cash position to scale production, deepen domestic penetration, and enter additional global markets.
