SwapMob offers a social trading platform that lets players list, bid on and sell premium virtual goods across multiple games and platforms (web, social and mobile). The company provides an API developers can integrate into live or in-development multiplayer games to enable in-game trading without disrupting gameplay. SwapMob's system automatically converts proceeds into the correct in-game currency and lets users sell to friends or the highest bidder. The platform is live in Drive or Die 3 (Android), Game Ventures (Facebook) and Cristiano Ronaldo Footy (Facebook). SwapMob completed a $1 million seed funding round led by Bernard 'Bernie' Stolar and joined by Erich Spangenberg. Founded in 2011, the company says the service will increase spending by existing players and drive new users to games through item recommendation and currency conversion.
