Founded in 2021 and employing eight people, Sweetech has built a patented production platform that manufactures rare sugars, or oligosaccharides, using an innovative, eco-friendly fermentation process. The technology positions the company as the only player able to supply these health-benefiting molecules at industrial scale. Early commercial traction includes collaborations with major cosmetics brands and active negotiations with nutraceutical firms. The fresh capital will fund pilot-scale production slated for 2026, expand the customer portfolio, and bolster in-house R&D. Sweetech previously secured a €250 k pre-seed round in 2023 from sector-specialist business angels.
