Swipe.bg operates Bulgaria's largest online marketplace for refurbished electronics, connecting buyers and sellers of pre-owned devices. The company is led by founders Mihail Dimitrov and Oggy Popov. It recently closed a €1.4 million funding round to support growth. The raise was led by Sofia Angels Ventures and included participation from Vitosha Venture Partners, partners at New Vision 3 Fund and a group of leading angel investors. Swipe.bg is a Sofia-based platform founded in October 2021 that operates Bulgaria's first marketplace for buying and selling second-hand mobile phones. The company buys used phones from consumers, offers a quick online evaluation, inspects and certifies devices, performs repairs when needed, and resells refurbished phones. Refurbished prices are offered at roughly 15% below new-model prices and up to about 50% below for older models. Swipe.bg aims to provide quality, working phones at lower, more affordable prices. The startup raised €510,000 in a seed round co-led by Vitosha Venture Partners and New Vision 3, with participation from angel investors of CEO Angels Club. The funding will be used to expand the smartphone range, increase the team, and develop marketing efforts.
