Overview
Swit Technologies is a San Francisco-based remote-work technology company that offers a collaboration tool combining team chat and task management into each team's workflows while maintaining context. Led by founder and CEO Josh Lee, the company launched in March 2019. Within one and a half years of launch the service was being used by over 20,000 companies across 161 countries, helping users complete 2.3 million tasks. The company raised $5M in additional funding from SV Investment, which adds to a prior $7M seed round. Swit said it will use the funds to continue expanding operations and broaden its business reach. The product focus remains on integrating chat and task management to increase team productivity. Swit is a collaboration suite that bundles messaging with integrated productivity tools—Kanban task management, calendars and Gantt charts—to provide what it calls “freedom from integrations.” The product aims to replace the need for multiple separate collaboration apps by offering those functions in one centralized hub and a marketplace of bots and apps. Swit launched desktop and mobile apps in March and has been adopted by more than 450 companies, with about 40,000 registered users. It currently offers free and standard pricing tiers and plans a premium enterprise tier in the fall with full Office365 and GSuite integration (drag‑and‑drop emails into panels and convert to trackable tasks). The company has released a Slack migration tool and plans migration tools for Asana, Trello and Jira to ease customer transitions. Swit was launched last year by CEO Josh Lee and Max Lim; it was originally founded in Seoul and is now based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
