Swobbee provides rental batteries and battery-swapping stations designed for urban micromobility and last-mile logistics. The company runs stations equipped with 8 to 30 battery slots and currently supports charging infrastructure for 8 (soon 10) battery types. In Europe this compatibility covers roughly 70% of current light electric vehicles (LEVs) used by shared micromobility and delivery operators. Its multi-modal approach lets vehicle owners or managers swap an empty battery for a full one in minutes, reducing vehicle downtime. Swobbee began as GreenPack, was founded in 2017 and pivoted to the Swobbee platform in 2020. The company recently raised additional capital, signaling continued expansion of its charging and swapping operations into new markets. Swobbee builds compact, sub‑1‑square‑meter battery‑swapping stations designed to serve e-bikes, cargo bikes, kick scooters and small mopeds. Its stations can host six different battery types and the company plans to onboard two more types this year to broaden compatibility with OEM batteries. Since founding in 2017 it has worked with logistics and shared-mobility customers including Hermes, DHL Logistics, DPD and Tier Mobility, and the company reports more than 50 stations overall (19 public stations are listed in its app). Swobbee raised a $6.5M Series A led by EIT InnoEnergy and sits at a pre‑money valuation of about €30M (~$33M). The startup plans to use the funds and InnoEnergy’s network to build out its swapping network across Germany and into two additional European countries and to pilot a B2C battery‑sharing model with the European Union. Management aims to expand fleet and consumer customers and expects to raise a double‑digit A+ later in the year to add a strategic partner.
