Swyg
8-9 Marino Mart, Fairview, Clontarf, Dublin, D03 EK81, Ireland
Overview
Swyg runs a platform that puts job candidates through peer-to-peer one-to-one video interviews using predefined structured questions. The system aggregates assessments from a diverse set of peer interviewers and uses machine learning to calibrate interviewers in real time, detecting and correcting for bias and human error. Its platform can flag unexpected behavior, including deliberately unfair ratings, and triggers a review process that can exclude certain reviews. Founder Vincent Lonij frames the approach as a hybrid alternative to fully automated or fully manual hiring solutions. Swyg raised $1.2 million in pre-seed funding led by Frontline Ventures alongside angel investors Charles Bibby and Martin Henk. The company plans to use the funding to grow its technical and product teams and to further develop the platform.
