Symmetrical is a Warsaw- and London-based fintech platform and mobile app that partners with employers to offer salary-on-demand (free access to earned pay between paydays), zero-interest employee loans and an automated financial adviser. The company positions itself as a ‘financial marketplace’ focused on ethical, fairly priced products and data transparency to benefit employees rather than being used against them. Symmetrical targets mid-to-large organisations in Europe, providing HR teams with tools intended to improve employee financial health. The startup says it has already disbursed more than 15,000 on-demand salaries and is available to nearly 70,000 employees within nine months of product launch. Its stated mission is to help users regain control over their finances and make better financial decisions. The new financing will be used to expand into additional European markets, starting with Germany and France.
