Symvivo advances a proprietary bacTRL platform that delivers plasmid DNA both orally and via IV to enable a patient’s cells to produce therapeutic proteins. Its lead candidate, bacTRL-Spike, is an oral, room temperature-stable DNA vaccine capsule designed to generate a mucosal immune response and be self-administered. The company reported preclinical promise for bacTRL-Spike and is initiating its first Phase I human trial this quarter.
