Synboli is a Bordeaux-based deep-tech spin-out of the CNRS and the University of Bordeaux that applies AI-driven molecular analysis to accelerate the discovery of sustainable polymers. Its platform screens billions of molecular structures to pinpoint optimal candidates, then employs a proprietary synthesis process to rapidly produce the materials. The resulting polymers are intended to be fully biodegradable, biosourced, and free of toxic substances while matching or exceeding the performance of conventional plastics. Synboli’s roadmap includes building the world’s largest polymer database and scaling its R&D capabilities. To that end, the company plans to open an advanced laboratory in Bordeaux in November. The recent capital injection provides the resources needed for team expansion, enhanced data infrastructure, and accelerated commercial collaborations.
