SynchNeuro
303 E. Chicago Ave., Chicago, IL, 60611, United States
Overview
Founded in 2021 by Casey Halpern and Emily Mirro, SynchNeuro is building an ear‑behind wearable that captures EEG signals and uses machine‑learning models to infer glucose levels and other cardiometabolic markers in real time. The device is described as a continuous, noninvasive sensor paired with a mobile app that provides lifestyle guidance and tracks metrics such as sleep quality, heart rate variability, activity and stress. The company’s technology originated from Halpern’s research linking EEG patterns to blood glucose fluctuations. SynchNeuro is targeting people with prediabetes and early stage type 2 diabetes to enable proactive metabolic health management. Following a November 2025 $3 million seed round led by Boomerang Ventures, the startup says it has moved from the idea phase into product development and will use the funding to accelerate device and algorithm development. The company also describes plans to expand its biomarker scope in the future to broader cardiometabolic and mental‑health applications.
