Overview
SynOx is a Dublin-based late clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing emactuzumab, a CSF-1 receptor (CSF-1R) inhibiting monoclonal antibody for CSF-1 related and macrophage-driven disorders, notably Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumour (TGCT). Emactuzumab is described in earlier clinical work as a potentially best-in-class therapy with a short treatment cycle, rapid onset of action and long duration of response. Proceeds from the Series B extension are supporting a registrational Phase 3 clinical trial of emactuzumab. SynOx has dosed the first patients in the TANGENT study, a global, multi-centre, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 3 trial. The study’s primary outcome is overall response rate (ORR); secondary outcomes include functional and quality-of-life measures, impact on tumour volume, and duration of response, with approximately 130 patients expected to be enrolled (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT05417789). The company raised additional capital in the Series B round to advance emactuzumab toward market for TGCT patients.
