Synple has developed a collaboration platform that enables road freight companies to match freight orders with available capacity in real time. Its software can combine runs between trusted partners and integrates with existing transport management systems without requiring adaptations or disclosure of confidential data. The platform provides a user interface for transport schedulers to process information with a single click, saving time and reducing errors. Synple aims to cut empty truck runs by 50%, which would lower road mileage, reduce CO2 emissions and increase sector profitability. The company ran projects and pilots with national and international partners and began roll-out of a scalable platform in 2017. With this financing, Synple plans to connect large and small transport companies in the Netherlands and Belgium next, followed by expansion across the rest of Europe in 2018.
