Founded and led by CEO Ashwin Ramesh and based in Bangalore, the company has focused on the U.S. and Canada since launching two years ago. Synup says it hit an average rate of return of $1 million just nine months after it was founded and plans to expand into the U.K. and Europe and add more detailed analytics and white-label tools. Synup is a Bangalore-based startup that launched its service in June 2014. Key features include managing listings on over 200 websites and search engines, tracking customer reviews on more than 20 sites with immediate notifications, and monitoring rankings on nine search engines and local directories. The company targets businesses and marketing agencies that want to advertise locally and has already attracted several hundred customers in the US and Canada. The recent funding will be used to build the Synup team and operations and to rapidly expand the service globally. Synup was started by Ashwin Ramesh alongside co-founders Mohan Gopalakrishnan (CEO) and Karthik Krishnamoorthy (CTO).
