SYOS is a Brazilian startup offering end-to-end cold-chain monitoring composed of hardware, connectivity and cloud software. Its devices capture temperature and humidity and an AI model analyzes the data in real time to determine when actions are needed, helping reduce waste. The solution targets transport and storage stages for foods and medicines requiring refrigeration. SYOS recently completed a merger with PackID, combining SYOS's food-industry focus with PackID's pharmaceutical presence to expand coverage across the full cold chain. Post-merger the combined company serves manufacturers, transporters, distribution centers, logistics operators, retailers, food service, laboratories, clinics and hospitals. The startup received a R$12 million investment from Equus Capital to support growth and scaling of its technology. Syos was founded in 2019 as a spin‑off of THINC and is led by founder Paulo Lerner alongside hires for AI, hardware, and finance/operations. Its customers include Coca‑Cola, Grupo Big, Imbera and Green Yellow, and its sensors are already installed in more than 30,000 Coca‑Cola refrigerators. The company targets supermarkets, restaurants, convenience stores, pharmacies, hotels and hospitals and cites a supermarket market opportunity of roughly 2 million refrigeration units (R$500 million annual potential). Syos positions itself to reduce food spoilage, contamination risk, maintenance and energy costs through remote monitoring and analytics.
