Syrius Robotics

Overview
Syrius Robotics designs autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) that plan routes and react in real time to navigate narrow warehouse aisles and lift and put away parcels. The company positions itself more as a software firm, citing proprietary algorithms and an Android-based operating system it also licenses to third-party robot makers. Its revenue comes from selling robots, monthly robots-as-a-service subscriptions, and OS licensing; about half of revenues are from overseas markets. Syrius operates a subsidiary in Japan and counts Mitsubishi Corporation and Kantsu among its clients, and it also serves customers in Singapore and South Korea. The startup is looking to expand operations across Southeast Asia, North America, and Europe. Syrius employs around 200 people and told TechCrunch it is profitable, though it declined to disclose revenues.
