Syroco is a Marseille-based startup that applies technology-startup methods to industrial maritime challenges and the energy transition. Its five co-founders combine expertise in elite sailing, data platforms, naval architecture and technology marketing. The company has raised a €1.4m seed round to deploy a scientific and technical laboratory and begin operational development. Funds are being used to assemble a research and engineering team, design the first prototypes and contract co-innovation projects with industrial partners and clients. Syroco says it will pursue a Series A in the coming months to accelerate projects, finalize the technological foundation and innovation methodology, and start research on subsequent projects.
