Tableland
Mill Valley, CA, 94941, United States
Overview
Tableland is a permissionless relational database for web3 applications built on the ubiquitous SQLite engine, enabling complex relational data models for decentralized games, apps, and NFTs. Tables are on‑chain assets (ERC‑721) stored on the Tableland Network, a decentralized network of validators governed by the Tableland Protocol, with wallet‑based authentication, row‑level permissions, and smart‑contract integration. The network is in beta on Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism, and Tableland plans an incentivized testnet in Q4 2023 followed by a production mainnet in early 2024. Tableland Studio, a developer platform for designing and reusing relational database models, is approaching initial beta and will provide a directory of pre‑built data models, smart‑contract connectors, collaboration tools, and integrations with IPFS, Filecoin, and ENS. The product is positioned to make mutable, composable, and cost‑effective data storage available to NFT and game creators by working alongside decentralized storage (Filecoin, Arweave) and moving state mutations offchain where appropriate. The company announced support plans for Filecoin FVM integration and later support for zkEVMs within the year.
