Tagbox Solutions is a Bengaluru-based machine-learning company that builds predictive analytics and automation solutions. Its offerings target customers across retail, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, food & beverages, dairy and manufacturing in India and the Asia Pacific. TVS Motor said it evaluated many companies providing IoT solutions in the supply chain and logistics sector before investing in Tagbox. The company plans to use the funds to strengthen product innovation and R&D while expanding its global footprint. Tagbox will continue to develop new predictive analytics and automation solutions to solve customer use cases. Earlier investor Indian Angel Network had invested Rs 3.5 crore in 2017 and exited with a three-fold return. TagBox Solutions Pvt Ltd provides an IoT-based central monitoring system for cold chains, combined with advanced analytics and automation to control operations and augment personnel. The company sells solutions to pharmaceuticals, packaged goods, dairy companies, retail stores, hospitals and restaurants. TagBox says it aims to tag every box carrying cold-chain products, monitor health in real time, and predict and prevent cold-chain failures. The startup plans to use the new funding for product development and for filing patents and global certifications for its full tech stack. TagBox was founded in 2016 by Adarsh Kumar, Saumitra Singh and Sameer Singh; the founders bring experience from Mu Sigma, Cosmic Circuits, Innorel Systems, Texas Instruments, Cadence Design Systems and hold multiple patents. The company positions itself against largely hardware-oriented incumbents by providing richer telemetry, analytics and longer-term historical data storage to reduce food and medicine spoilage.
