Tagg
380 Portage Ave, Palo Alto, CA, 94306, United States
Overview
Tagg is a "social branding" app aimed at Gen Z creatives that lets users choose customizable profile skins, curate content, and connect without visible like counts. The product sits between a link-in-bio service and a traditional social app, emphasizing creative expression and collaboration. Tagg is still in private beta with thousands of users and thousands more on a waitlist. The platform currently uses a points system (presently vanity) and the team has discussed future tokenization or a coin to reward creators. The company was founded by recent alumni of Brown and RISD — Victor Loolo, Blessing Ubani, and Sophie Chen — and after graduating in 2020 the team moved to the Bay Area; Steven Fang recently joined as CTO. With new seed funding, Tagg is hiring to expand the team and focus on onboarding more users.
