TAIA is a one-stop-shop machine translation platform launched in 2018 in Slovenia that automatically translates content in minutes using proprietary technology. Users manage translation jobs from a dashboard, can involve human professionals to fine-tune texts and include locally distinct language elements, and files are kept encrypted on the platform. TAIA uses its own translation memory technology that logs each user's translation history, delivering increasingly personalized translations and discounts of up to 50% by not re-billing already translated content. The platform supports 65 file types, including websites and catalogues, and allows uploads to receive translations in their original formats. Since late 2018 TAIA has been used by over 1,800 users who have collectively translated more than 15 million words; clients include Red Bull, 3M, Hervis and Müller. Financially, TAIA raised a €1.2 million seed round from Fil Rouge Capital and has received €1.4 million to date; the new capital will be used to expand in western Europe and the US and to further develop the platform.
