Overview

Takanock provides integrated digital and power infrastructure solutions aimed at addressing power shortages that limit data center development in Tier I and II markets. Founded in 2023 and led by Kenneth Davies (founder of Google Energy and former head of Microsoft's renewable strategy globally), the company spent its inaugural year engineering a scalable approach to solve critical energy constraints for data centers. In June 2025 Takanock secured $500 million in capital commitments from ArcLight and DigitalBridge to accelerate development in constrained markets. Its offerings include flexible on-site power solutions that can serve as prime power until substations are completed and thereafter operate as wholesale grid resources, while sidestepping pipeline capacity constraints and firm pipeline contracts. Takanock emphasizes sustainability through highly dispatchable resources, best-available emission-control technologies, and closed-loop cooling to minimize environmental and water impacts and support greater integration of renewables. Since early 2024 the company has assembled a strategic U.S. portfolio and is executing digital power deployments under long-term contracts at late-stage projects in Northern Virginia and Phoenix; Houlihan Lokey served as exclusive financial advisor on the transaction.
