Takeit is a taxi service launched in July last year that both connects clients with independent drivers and operates its own fleet of 1,200 vehicles. The company competes with Gett, Uber, and Yandex.Taxi and offers fares starting from 100 rubles (around $1.3). Takeit currently operates in Russia and plans to expand into other markets, beginning with European countries. Management says it has signed agreements with foreign partners, for example to organize airport transfers in France. The company’s low fares and fleet strategy are presented as an "interesting formula to reduce and optimize expenses." Financially, Takeit is securing around $2 million from several individual investors.
