Tal Medical is a clinical-stage medical device company led by President and CEO Jan Skvarka that is developing Low Field Magnetic Stimulation (LFMS), a non-invasive neuromodulation technology. LFMS has demonstrated a rapid-acting effect in major depressive disorder and bipolar depression in early work. The company is pursuing additional clinical research to confirm early findings and to establish optimal LFMS treatment regimens. A multi-site study funded by the National Institute of Mental Health and led by Massachusetts General Hospital is currently testing treatment durability. Tal Medical plans to use new funding to support clinical programs in major depressive and bipolar disorders, advance product development and scale up the organization.
