Overview
Talga is an Australian battery-materials company focused on producing graphite anode material that can cut climate impact by more than 90 % compared with today’s dominant alternatives. The firm mines and processes both natural and recycled graphite in northern Sweden and is building a dedicated anode plant in Luleå. Current work centres on optimising its processing technology, running battery-graphite recycling trials, and delivering near-industrial-scale product samples to prospective customers. These activities support Talga’s plan to move into full commercial mass production of anodes. The company’s Swedish graphite and anode projects hold strategic status under the EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act and the Net-Zero Industry Act. Talga recently secured 82 million SEK in public funding to advance this scale-up effort.
