TallOrder builds a merchant-centric, cloud POS platform for SMEs that runs on Windows, iOS and Android and includes strong offline capability for Sub-Saharan Africa. The product offers deep integrations with payment platforms (SnapScan, Zapper, MasterPass, Yoco, ThumbzUp, MTN MoMo, Innervation, African Resonance, NetCash, DPO, PayFast) and cloud accounting systems (Xero, Sage) as well as local loyalty systems. Add-ons include a fully integrated e-store, interactive order management displays, customer-facing displays with QR-code payments, and digital signage. The company also targets the 10–100 room hotel/lodge/resort/guest house market via integrations with cloud hospitality property management systems. Management says the platform is designed for SMEs with limited IT resources and slower internet, and the product roadmap and expansion plans will be supported by the new funding. Financially, the firm has now raised a total of R80m since late 2014.
