Tandem Health builds an AI clinician copilot—an ambient scribe that listens to patient consultations, transcribes them, and automatically generates draft medical notes that can be transferred to medical record systems. The company says its copilot fully follows GDPR and local patient data laws and has established local operations in five markets. Tandem’s partnership with Accurx is bringing AI-assisted clinical documentation to 98% of UK GPs, and the company estimates the funding will allow roll-out to an additional 230,000 NHS staff, including 125,000 Accurx Mobile users. The $50M Series A brings Tandem’s total financing to over $109M, and a significant proportion of proceeds will be used to drive AI innovation within the NHS. Planned product work includes deeper integration with EPRs (EMIS, SystmOne, Cerner, RiO, Epic), development of Class II medical device-certified modules, improved clinical templates and coding, and overall user‑experience enhancements. Tandem also plans to expand its UK-based clinical team to support NHS deployments and interoperability.
