Tangle is a new social platform created by Twitter co-founder Biz Stone and Pinterest co-founder Evan Sharp through their company West Co. Launched in November 2024, the invite-only service brands itself as “a new kind of social network for purposeful living.” Users post personal goals or “intentions,” support friends in meeting those goals, and revisit progress through in-app reflections. A daily prompt—“What is your intention today?”—nudges members toward mindful planning. West Co describes the product as a “meaning-making tool” that helps people plan, capture daily realities, and uncover deeper life patterns. Sharp says the project follows eight years of research into how traditional social media harmed mental well-being, and the founders hope Tangle can reverse some of that damage. To finance development and growth, West Co has raised $29 million in seed funding.
